    Air Show Returns to Pinnacle of Manned Aviation: Kennedy Space Center

    Framed by the backdrop of famous launch facilities, aerospace, aviation and astronauts will take to the skies for the second annual Space & Air Show at Kennedy Space Center featuring the Blue Angels November 8-9, 2008. On the heels of the successful U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performance of 2007, the 2008 show will include an expanded roster of aviation stars. Newly announced aerobatic acts scheduled to perform include Mike Goulian, sponsored by Castrol Oil and the Air Force Reserve Biplane Show. Also performing are the U.S. Navy Super Hornet Demo Team, the 920th Rescue Wing, U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet, the F-16 Viper East Demonstration and the A-10 Warthog.

    Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (KSCVC) was honored Thursday, June 19, 2008 with the Strategic Partner of the Year Award by the Greater Orlando Area Meeting Professionals International (GOAMPI). The award recognizes Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex special events team for their contributions to the collective success of the Central Florida meeting association.

    Pure Mineral Baths Return to Gideon Putnam’s Roosevelt Baths and Spa

    New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), in partnership with Delaware North Companies, has announced the conversion of four new spa treatment rooms for guests of the Roosevelt Baths and Spa at Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Spa State Park. OPRHP has converted two of the four treatment rooms to include 100 percent pure mineral bathwater. The new changes will allow spa customers to choose the heating method used to prepare their fresh spring water baths. Two rooms were completed and opened May 30. The remaining two rooms will be completed in time for the Independence Day weekend. The cost of the project is $100,000.
