Experience the excitement of a space launch from Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex as an Atlas V rocket launches a space plane prototype on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012. Special launch viewing areas for guests and live launch commentary from mission control are included in admission to the Visitor Complex. The launch window is scheduled between 1:03 and 6:03 p.m. EDT from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

BUFFALO, N.Y. and MONTEREY, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2012) – Delaware North Companies, one of the nation’s largest hospitality groups, has signed an agreement to become the first major hospitality and foodservice company to join Greener Fields Together, the sustainability program recently launched by leading national produce distributor, PRO*ACT.

Guests can celebrate the holiday sights and sounds as Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex presents the second annual “Holidays in Space” November 23 through January 1. The Visitor Complex will be adorned with a stunning array of holiday decorations and feature daily visits and storytelling with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as heartwarming performances of favorite holiday songs by strolling carolers.

Beginning Saturday and continuing through Nov. 11, visitors to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will have a limited opportunity to see Space Shuttle Atlantis inside its new home.

Space Shuttle Atlantis will travel from Kennedy Space Center’s Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to its permanent display at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. News media are invited to cover and photograph Atlantis along the 9.8 mile journey. Media will have an opportunity for up-close views of Atlantis at Exploration Park and as Atlantis approaches the Visitor Complex.

Fans of NASA’s Space Shuttle Program will have their last opportunity to see an orbiter on the move when Atlantis makes its historic final journey on Nov. 2 at Kennedy Space Center. Atlantis will travel the nearly 10 miles from Kennedy Space Center to its new home at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.Because of crowd logistics and security – 70 percent of the route is in the restricted area of the space center –the only viewing opportunities for the move are being offered by the visitor complex via two different ticket packages requiring advance reservations.

New York Gaming Association (NYGA) members, including Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack (FLCR) support more than 40,000 jobs statewide – including 5,500 direct employees and an additional 35,000 jobs within the agribusiness industry. NYGA facilities have also added nearly 1,000 jobs in the past 12 months despite the sluggish economy.
