BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Delaware North and Buffalo (N.Y.) Public Schools on Thursday announced the launch of a comprehensive cybersecurity curriculum for students of two high schools in the district’s Innovative High Schools program.

Delaware North’s team at Niagara Falls State Park recently hosted a group of eight from the Western New York chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) for a private dinner at Top of the Falls Restaurant – complete with a locally-sourced menu.

Thirty students from Booker T. Washington High School in downtown Atlanta visited Turner Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves, earlier this month to participate in a special Tomahawk Talks program about careers in the sports industry. The program, called Industry Insight, was hosted by the Braves and introduced students to different career paths that are available in professional sports.

Delaware North’s travel business was the focal point of a recent CNN story (click here) focused on the growing trend of local foods and restaurants popping up in airport terminals across the country. This strategy of incorporating regionally-inspired dishes on menus and opening airport outposts of well-known restaurants has been successful for Delaware North across its portfolio of airports, and travelers are taking note.

Delaware North-owned-and-operated Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Ill., was honored by Casino Player Magazine in its annual readers’ poll with 17 overall awards, including Best Casino and Best Hotel.

Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (NYSE:HOT), today announced the opening of The Westin Buffalo in partnership with the hotel’s owner and operator, Delaware North. Located in the heart of the resurging downtown Buffalo, the newly-built Westin hotel is the brand’s first in the city and is poised to introduce a new level of wellness to travelers in the destination.

Delaware North recently began operating exclusive tours of London Stadium (previously known as The Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park), where it also operates food and beverage services. The stadium tours initiative, which began on Aug. 12, is Delaware North’s first such effort in the United Kingdom.

A walk on Mars may be in the future for astronauts, but at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, guests don’t have to wait. A new, limited-time attraction Destination: Mars, which opened today, makes it possible to “walk on Mars” using real imagery from NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover brought to life by Microsoft HoloLens, the world’s first self-contained holographic computer running Windows 10. Presented exclusively by Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the experience will be located in a pop-up theater and will only be available through January 1, 2017.
