Four Delaware North Companies Chefs have earned the right to participate in the prestigious Culinary Olympics to be held in Erfurt, Germany, in 2008.

Delaware North Companies Sportservice is preparing to ensure Indians fans can truly savor the first American League Championship Series at Jacobs Field since 1998.

Teams and fans have not been alone the last few weeks in gearing up for the new National Hockey League season. The chefs and staffs of Delaware North Companies Sportservice have been working behind the scenes at six NHL venues to broaden menus – focused on further enhancing fans’ game experience.

Delaware North Companies Sportservice has added to the regional and other favorite food items it offers and has also expanded club and suite menus for the 2007 National Football League season at the four stadiums at which it operates.

O’Charley’s Inc., a leading casual-dining restaurant company, and Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, a new O’Charley’s franchisee and one of the world’s leading airport food service and retail providers, today announced the opening on Friday, July 6 of an O’Charley’s restaurant in the Nashville International Airport, Concourse C. The restaurant is part of Delaware North’s planned expansion of food and beverage operations at the airport under a long-term contract awarded by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA). It is the first O’Charley’s restaurant to be located in an airport.

Four Delaware North Companies Sportservice chefs recently teamed up to earn the gold medal at the 13th Annual Tastes of the World Chef Culinary Conference. The talented team was comprised of Delaware North Sportservice Corporate Chef Rolf Baumann, TD Banknorth Garden Executive Chef Kevin Doherty, Legends at TD Banknorth Garden Chef Patrick Kilduff and Executive Chef of Agganis Arena Paul Hartz. Fifteen different teams from North America took part in the competition and competed for American Culinary Federation medals. The Sportservice team earned 37.75 points out of 40 which was the highest team total and is considered extremely difficult to achieve.

Asilomar Conference Grounds’ Executive Chef, Colin Moody, has been named the 2007 recipient of the prestigious President’s Award from the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Monterey Bay Chapter. The surprise honor, revealed during the 33rd Annual ACF Awards Gala, adds to a long list of industry accolades and accreditations that Moody has received during his impressive culinary career.

Fan balloting has proven very popular in selecting baseball’s All Star teams, and now Cleveland Indians fans can not only vote for their favorite players, but their favorite hot dog as well. Delaware North Companies Sportservice has teamed with Cleveland Indians and Sugardale Foods to create the “Indians Signature Dog” promotion for fans to choose the official hot dog at Jacobs Field.
