The new World Market Bistro is now open at Delaware North’s Southland Casino Racing in West Memphis, Ark.

Delaware North’s Southland Casino Racing in West Memphis, Ark., is getting back to building at its initial and intended pace a $250 million expansion to the property that will feature a new gaming complex and high-rise hotel.

The Catawba Nation is working to fast-track the opening of the Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort project in North Carolina by opening a “pre-launch” facility this summer with 500 slot machines. Delaware North is a consultant to the Catawba on the casino resort project.

As part of Delaware North’s ongoing “Game Changer” campaign in its gaming division, Southland Casino Racing recently presenteda check for $47,604 to Families in Transition,a local nonprofit organization.

Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack last week presented a total of $75,000 to 15 different charities throughout the Wheeling Island, W.Va., community.

Delaware North’s gaming division has launched a fundraising campaign to benefit local charitable organizations that work to improve the health, education and financial stability of people who live in the communities of its gaming locations.

Since reopening their doors after being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several Delaware North gaming properties have received positive attention from guests, media and industry experts.

Though the pandemic has slowed the project down, Delaware North is continuing construction on a $250 million expansion of Southland Casino Racing.

A $12 million parks project in West Memphis, Ark., is being made possible by the Delaware North owned-and-operated Southland Casino Racing.
