Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in West Virginia on Nov. 20 celebrated the grand opening of its new and enhanced buffet, which promises to become a popular regional dining destination with a new menu featuring a variety of
fresh chef-prepared cuisine.
The newly designed and reimagined buffet space, which underwent significant construction over the last several months, features a modern, spacious and comfortable setting for casino patrons and other guests.
With a menu curated by Executive Chef John Greenwald, the buffet brings an elevated take on classic buffet dining, showcasing a selection of regional specialties. Guests can expect a variety of stations, including fresh seafood, hand-carved meats, the popular create-your-own-pasta station, delicious desserts and an extensive salad bar – all prepared with the freshest ingredients and exceptional attention to detail.
“We are excited to bring a new level of dining to our guests with the launch of our buffet,” said Kim Florence, president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. “Our goal was to create a space and a menu that would appeal to everyone – from food enthusiasts to groups looking for a fun night out – by offering an exceptional range of flavors in an inviting and lively atmosphere.”
Florence was joined by several Wheeling leaders at a ceremonial ribbon cutting to open the buffet to the public. All patrons who dined at the buffet on opening day were entered into drawings for a chance to win exclusive prizes, including free buffet vouchers and slot free play.
The grand opening was covered by the Wheeling Intelligencer and local TV stations WTRF and WTOV. The buffet will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. Prices start at $29.99 for the all-you-can-eat buffet.
“Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack has a longstanding tradition of delivering unforgettable experiences, and the opening of the new buffet is another step in its commitment to providing guests with exceptional service, entertainment and hospitality,” Florence said.
