Sportservice serves up big flavors for MLB postseason

VOL 27 ISSUE 39, Oct. 5, 2026

Postseason baseball is underway, and Sportservice is part of the action at five MLB ballparks, with culinary teams rolling out limited-time menus designed specifically for October.

The Cleveland Guardians, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres are all playing postseason baseball, giving Sportservice teams across the country an opportunity to showcase creative dishes ranging from supersized, shareable favorites to inventive takes on regional flavors.

In Milwaukee, the Brewers’ postseason menu leans heavily into Wisconsin flavors and local food partners.Among the postseason additions are Brat Rangoons, crispy wontons filled with cheddar cheese, bratwurst, beer-braised onions and chives and served with sweet horseradish mustard; a Wagyu Pasty; and an Oktoberfest Slice topped with bratwurst, sauerkraut and brown mustard. Other offerings include a Dino Rib, featuring more than a pound and a half of smoked beef rib, all of which garnered significant media coverage.

Another distinctly Wisconsin experience is sticking around for October. The Wisco Supper Club, introduced earlier this season as a Friday-night-only nod to an Upper Midwest dining tradition, will remain in place throughout the Brewers’ postseason run. Sports Business Journal recently highlighted the unique concept, including perspectives from Sportservice General Manager Kevin Jezewski and Brewers Vice President of Consumer Experience Tom Hecht.

For the Atlanta Braves’ postseason run, the culinary team at Truist Park went big – literally. The postseason menu includes The Long Ball, a 2-foot spiced beef and pork sausage topped with peach-bourbon mustard, crispy lemon pepper onions, bacon jam, Carolina gold sauce, smoked cheddar cheese and pickled green tomato. Another option meant for sharing, the Smokehouse Feast, brings together a smoked chicken leg, pastrami brisket, Conecuh sausage, baby back ribs, pulled pork-smothered tots, corn ribs, jalapeno cornbread and aged Gouda macaroni and cheese. The six-item postseason menu also features the Crispy Grand Slam Tail, a lobster tail stuffed with shrimp and lump crab, wrapped in a wonton and fried.

In San Diego, the Padres’ postseason specials at Petco Park showcase seafood, steak and Southern California flavors. The Surf and Turf Sandwich combines wood-fired New York strip and lobster with Old Bay butter and lemon-garlic aioli, while the Tuna Poke Crunchy Taco features local spicy tuna and shrimp ebi with avocado, spicy aioli, pickled daikon, furikake and crispy nori. Fans can also find spicy tri-tip nachos and a Cubano-inspired sandwich served on a braided pretzel. CBS8 covered the limited-time offers.

At Rate Field, the White Sox postseason menu is built around big portions and a sense of fun. The Mega Machete is a 2-foot quesadilla stuffed with Oaxaca cheese and a choice of beef birria or chicken chorizo, while the Fall Classic Burger stacks two pounds of beef patties with American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato and squash mayo. The Muneshot Sushi Push-Pop, named as a nod to White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami, layers lobster claw meat, caviar, avocado, cucumber and spicy mayo. For dessert, there’s the Double Dutch Celly Sundae, served in a souvenir helmet.

In Cleveland, the postseason menu at Progressive Field is starting with two new dishes, with more potentially on the way if the Guardians advance. Gochujang Honey Mustard Chicken gives crispy chicken a sweet-and-spicy treatment with gochujang, honey and Dijon mustard, while the Bacon Jalapeno Footlong Dog features an all-beef hot dog wrapped with bacon and jalapenos, finished with barbecue glaze and cheddar cheese.

With October baseball just getting started, there could be plenty more innings – and plenty more food – still to come.
