Delaware North team members, guests and partners have been dealing with the catastrophic effects of the ongoing wildfires in Southern California, where Patina Restaurant Group was founded and many of its team members, restaurants and
catering offerings call home.
Patina has been partnering with World Central Kitchen to provide daily deliveries of 200 meals to its Burbank distribution center, which will be provided to the public and first responders at sites throughout Southern California.
“As soon as we learned about the devastating impact of the wildfires, we knew we needed to act quickly to help, and so we focused on what we do best: feed people,” said Patina Restaurant Group President John Kolaski. “Our team members on the West
Coast immediately got to work delivering meals to those impacted by the fires and to the incredible responders who are working tirelessly on the frontlines. Our thoughts continue to be with our team members, clients and friends who are impacted by this
tragic situation.”
Patina Catering team members, led by executive chefs Carl MacPherson and Nate Washburn, have prepared a collective 2,385 meals (and counting) at the centralized catering kitchen, and 100 of the meals were provided by Executive Chef Megan Logan
of Nick + Stef’s LA, which were distributed to community relief sites, including the Pasadena Convention Center, DENA Relief Drive in Pasadena and Golden Legacy Care Center in Sylmar.
Victor Manuel Rodriguez, kitchen operations manager, and Bernard Pichereau, catering manager, have led the logistics of delivering the nourishing meals, which have included Mezze Boxes, Vegan Stir Fry, Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry, Braised Beef, Vegan Bean Bourguignon, Chicken Caesar Wraps and more.
Patina team members were also actively engaged in the Jan. 20 Rebuild LA fundraiser and concert, supporting through grassroots volunteerism, donating time, food and beverage to the event. Organized by Concert for America and the California Community Foundation, the fundraiser will help meet the immediate needs of food, water, shelter and medical care for LA residents in the ongoing effort to rebuild lives, communities and homes.
In addition to Patina’s efforts, Delaware North has been working closely with team members who have been directly impacted and displaced by the fires to provide support and resources during this challenging time. The company is also preparing longer-term ways to support team members and the greater LA community beyond the immediate impact.
As Delaware North’s premium catering and restaurant division, Patina’s roots are strongly linked to the greater Los Angeles area. Its portfolio includes Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse LA; Naples Ristorante e Bar, Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita in Anaheim’s Downtown Disney District; and catering and foodservice at cultural centers throughout Southern California, such as the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Norton Simon Museum of Art.
