Partnership at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake extended through 2036

Ashtabula County and Delaware North have announced the extension of their partnership at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake through 2036.

The resort, located along the coast of Lake Erie in Geneva, Ohio, has been operated by Delaware North since opening in 2004.

“This is a great agreement for Delaware North and was completed because of General Manager Charlene Horgan’s local relationships and the team’s delivery of great guest experiences,” said Scott Socha, group president for Parks and Resorts, Travel and Australia.

Ashtabula County commissioners also expressed excitement for the contract extension, noting the role that Delaware North has played in the resort’s growth and success.

“As we look to the future projects in Ashtabula County, this extension is important in ensuring the lodge is on a sustainable path going forward,” Ashtabula County Commissioner Casey Kozlowski said. “Delaware North has done a wonderful job operating the resort, and we look forward to continuing this relationship.”

Another aspect of the contract extension will increase the percentage of revenue that can be put toward new amenities.

Over the last 20 years, Delaware North has made significant improvements to the property, including the addition of 25 Cape Cod-style cottages and enhancements to the outdoor pool and recreation area, solidifying its place as a destination for family vacations, celebrations, meetings and weddings.

The company also operates Lake Erie Canopy Tours, adjacent to The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake – which offers ziplining, an adventure course, kayaks and golf cart rentals, and winery tours – that depart directly from the lodge.
