Southland Casino Hotel, which Delaware North owns and operates in West Memphis, Ark., on June 26 donated $20,593 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Crittenden County, which provides programs and activities for more than 1,000 youth each year.
The funds were raised through the casino’s most recent Game Changer campaign, through which patrons are encouraged to donate leftover change from gaming tickets to support local nonprofit organizations. The donation will benefit four Boys & Girls Clubs in West Memphis: Boys & Girls Club of Crittenden County, J.W. Rich Girls Club, Wonder City Boys & Girls Club and L.R. Jackson Girls Club.
“We are very happy to provide this funding to all four of Crittenden County’s Boys & Girls Clubs at this critical time,” said Osi Imomoh, president and general manager of Southland Casino Hotel. “Southland is dedicated to continuing to support these vital programs for our youth in West Memphis and throughout the county, and we thank our patrons for their generosity.”
Southland has raised $472,000 for more than 20 community organizations since September 2020.
“We all serve the youth in the community in different capacities and locations, but none of us could exist without the other,” said Darin McCollum, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Crittenden County. “Southland has always been at the heartbeat of what we do with their financial support and volunteerism, and we appreciate it all.”
