Australia’s iconic sporting event – the Australian Open – has wrapped up for 2022, with Delaware North once again displaying its hospitality expertise at the global tennis tournament.
The two-week tournament may have limited capacity, but there was no shortage of recreation for guests. The dining and cultural experiences created by Delaware North’s team are second only to the grand slams and tennis greats. From quick meals and lavish multicourse dinners prepared by celebrity chefs to shopping and interactive games, there were multiple precincts for fans to explore over the course of the event.
New for 2022 was the Rod Laver Arena Superbox, which allowed guests to enjoy a premium micro restaurant experience while watching a match. Delaware North donated a suite at the arena during several sessions to charities, including Beyond Blue and Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Delaware North is the longstanding hospitality and catering partner for Melbourne & Olympic Parks and has served fans at the Australian Open since 1989. To ensure the experience remains nothing short of world-class, Delaware North bolsters the onsite team with associates from operating locations around the world, including Australia’s Melbourne Airport, Marvel Stadium, Mindil Beach Casino Resort and Lizard Island Resort.
