Delaware North travel division makes another donation to USO

Delaware North’s travel division marked yet another donation to a United Services Organization (USO) chapter this week with a $6,175 donation to the USO of Georgia.

The donation comes after a fundraising campaign at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in which Delaware North sold commemorative USO cups at its 20 food and beverage outlets throughout the airport, with all proceeds going to benefit the USO.

This announcement comes as the USO kicks off the Global Celebration for its 78th birthday on February 4, 2019. The USO marked this milestone with a celebration at the ATL USO Center.

The ATL USO Center features a serving kitchen with food and snacks every day; a lounge area with televisions; a gaming center; and a room with computers and relaxing recliners. All services are complimentary to military personnel and their families, as is a USO Family Room with furniture and items for children, bistro tables and chairs and internet access. Last year, more than 115,000 service members used the center at ATL.

“We are particularly honored to partner with the amazing people of Delaware North, a company renowned for its own travel hospitality services, as we provide hospitality to our service members and their brave families traveling via ATL,” said Mary Lou Austin, president of USO of Georgia, Inc. “Delaware North helps USO continue our mission to connect America’s service members to home, country and family in a very warm and tangible way.”
