The Westin Buffalo awarded prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating

Hotel is just the second in Buffalo to achieve coveted rating for its refined décor, extensive amenities and attentive service

BUFFALO, N.Y. (July 27, 2017)Global hospitality company Delaware North today announced that the company-operated Westin Buffalo hotel has been awarded a prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating.

The AAA Four Diamond Rating is assigned to lodgings that feature refined, stylish and upscale physical attributes, an extensive array of amenities, and a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail. Less than 5 percent of AAA Approved hotels receive this rating.

The Westin Buffalo, a 116-room luxury lifestyle hotel that opened September 2016, is just the second hotel in Buffalo to achieve AAA’s Four Diamond Rating.

“We are proud and honored that AAA has awarded us its Four Diamond Rating,” said Tom Long, general manager of The Westin Buffalo. “The rating is a reflection of our commitment to best-in-class amenities, comfort and service, and ensures our guests that their experience will be exceptional every time they choose to stay with us.”

The hotel was specifically commended in several areas, including its use of excellent technology enhancements. Earlier this year, The Westin Buffalo introduced two innovative service delivery models – its robot butler, “Chip,” and guest-servicing Amazon Echo devices in each of its guest rooms.
The property’s professional-caliber fitness equipment was also praised. The Westin Buffalo’s WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio features state-of-the-art equipment from world-class brands, including a Peloton bike and training equipment from TRX.

AAA also noted the hotel’s convenient downtown location and contemporary architectural enhancements. The Westin Buffalo is located within The Delaware North Building, home of the company’s global headquarters.

Patina 250, the upscale American restaurant operated by Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group, was also recognized by AAA for its trendy, skillfully prepared cuisine, expanded beverage options and enhanced setting.

The Westin Buffalo is the second Delaware North-operated lodging property to achieve a AAA Four Diamond Rating. The company also operates AAA Four Diamond-rated Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, Calif.
