Three Delaware North sous chefs at Wembley Stadium in London have recently completed the Level 4 Chef Management Development Programme, run by the Worshipful Company of Cooks of London.

This 18-month program is designed for talented sous chefs who lead kitchen teams, combining hands-on culinary training with management development in areas such as finance, marketing, operations and personal effectiveness.

Program highlights:

  • Both personal and professional growth for the sous chefs, resulting in a qualification that enhances their leadership acumen, kitchen productivity and staff retention.
  • Mentorship: Harry Lomas, head of culinary for Delaware North U.K., and his team of head chefs mentored the trio throughout the program.

The Worshipful Company of Cooks, one of London’s oldest livery companies, dates back to 1482. It now supports culinary excellence through education, scholarships and training.

Lomas, a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Cooks, expressed his pride in the chefs’ accomplishments:

“I’m so proud of Tas, Adam and James for completing Level 4 of the Chef Management Development Programme,” he said. “It’s inspiring to see their passion and dedication recognized through such a prestigious qualification. This kind of professional development builds confidence and raises the bar for culinary excellence. Delaware North is focused on creating exceptional experiences, and seeing our chefs grow into the next generation of culinary leaders truly brings that vision to life.”

A culture of mentorship and support builds culinary excellence and continuous growth at Wembley Stadium, where Delaware North is the sole hospitality provider.
