VOL 27 ISSUE 24, June 15, 2026

TD Garden, in collaboration with TD Bank U.S., on June 10 announced Ryan Adams (pictured above) as the 2026 TD Garden House Artist, unveiling a new mural connected to Massachusetts 250 festivities.

Glen Thornborough (far right), president of TD Garden and executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Boston Bruins, on June 10 helped debut the TD Garden 2026 House Artist, Ryan Adams (second from right). Also pictured during the celebratory event at the Hub on Causeway are Courtney DiSano (far left), director of marketing and communications for TD Garden, and Sheryl McQuade (second from right), regional president of metro New England, TD Bank U.S.

Launched in January 2023, the TD Garden House Artist initiative celebrates and empowers local artists from underrepresented New England communities. As part of Access the Arts, powered by TD Bank, it strives to broaden access to arts and live entertainment. With TD Garden’s naming rights extended through 2045, TD Bank has pledged over $15 million to community programming, reinforcing its commitment to cultural enrichment and support.

Ryan Adams is an artist and muralist based in Portland, Maine, whose roots in traditional graffiti have evolved into a diverse practice encompassing large-scale murals, hand-painted signage and studio work. His signature “gem” style deconstructs letterforms into geometric shapes layered with shadows and highlights, creating a sense of depth, movement and visual complexity.

“We are excited to welcome Ryan Adams as our 2026 TD Garden House Artist,” said Glen Thornborough, president of TD Garden and executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Boston Bruins. “As we celebrate Massachusetts 250, this mural offers a bold, contemporary tribute to the Commonwealth’s history and enduring spirit. Positioned at the front entrance of TD Garden in The Hub on Causeway, the artwork will engage not only our guests, but the millions of visitors and commuters experiencing Boston throughout the year.”

This year’s theme, “Massachusetts 250,” celebrates the Commonwealth’s role in shaping the nation and marks 250 years of history, innovation and cultural impact.

Adams’ mural honors this milestone through his signature use of bold typography, geometric forms and vibrant color. Inspired by Massachusetts’ spirit and enduring legacy, the work serves as a contemporary tribute to the people, ideas and communities that continue to shape its future.

“It’s an honor to be part of the Massachusetts 250 celebration through this mural at TD Garden,” Adams said. “I hope the piece brings a sense of joy, connection and pride to everyone who experiences it, while reflecting the history, resilience, and spirit that continues to shape Massachusetts today.”

TD Garden will release the 2027 TD Garden House Artist request-for-proposal in the coming months. Click here for details about the program.

After the unveiling of the mural, TD Garden hosted a reception at Banners Kitchen & Tap, operated by Patina Group at the adjacent Hub on Causeway.
