Delaware North launched a new WOW program for corporate team members in March, allowing peers and leaders to recognize corporate team members who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities.

Five corporate team members who received WOW submissions and two team members who shared nominees were randomly selected to receive a prize during a May 13 WOW celebration at corporate headquarters.

At left: randomly selected WOW nominees (left to right) are Da’Shawn Hines, recruitment marketing coordinator; Molly Fitzgerald, Law Department administrator; Janice Heckt, building services manager; and Lucia Getman, finance analyst. In early May, Delaware North’s team at Shenandoah National Park hosted the United States Composting Council (USCC) for an onsite tour of the property’s composting program. Nathan Shaner, general manager for Delaware North at Skyland Resort, led the USCC team around the company’s operations, viewing areas such as the kitchen, stables, dining room, Starbucks and EarthFlow in-vessel composting system.
