VOL 26 ISSUE 47, Nov. 24, 2025
Cactus Moon Lodge, Delaware North’s new Parks and Resorts location near Austin, Texas, recently received a glowing review from a couple who hosted their wedding at the property in early November.
The review, posted on Google, praised Cactus Moon for its accommodations, location in Texas Hill Country and overall experience from team members onsite. Groom Todd Sisson said:
What can I say that others haven’t besides, when can I move in? We could not have made a better decision when booking Cactus Moon as our wedding venue. We were searching from out of state for a hill country retreat space where our families would have a weekend to meet for the first time.
Cactus Moon had clear pricing and policies on their website, along with tons of pictures and social media presence to help us make that big decision. Their team was responsive, clear and friendly from our first inquiry, vendor site meeting, through post-checkout. And their preferred vendor list was a real goldmine! Cactus Moon was the first piece that allowed so many more to fit into place.
The lodge was exactly what we’d hoped for – an elevated, clean, modern, cohesively designed space where our group could mingle, relax and celebrate, while having all of their needs met. We wanted our out of state travelers to get a real “slice of Texas” and Cactus Moon even made me nostalgic for my former Texas home.
The property has a great setup that allowed us to spread out when it was just the families, but still accommodate all of the wedding guests through a natural flow from ceremony site to sunset cocktails on the deck, and a romantic courtyard reception to die for. This space only heightened our floral and decor choices amidst their fabulously photogenic textured walls and succulent gardens.
Thank you, Cactus Moon, for surpassing expectations!!!
Highlights from the event were also posted on Instagram here and here.
Cactus Moon Lodge features eight cabin-style lodging units, a main lodge, an outdoor deck with seating for about 100 people and a 6,000-square-foot Spanish-style courtyard that can seat about 300 people and regularly hosts weddings, special gatherings and events. The surrounding property includes a collection of springs, waterfalls and natural watering holes, with hiking trails for guests.
The acquisition of Cactus Moon Lodge is part of the Parks and Resorts division’s transformation vision to become the undisputed leader in hospitality for the outdoor recreation and leisure market.
Delaware North plans to expand the property’s groups and events business by making a full calendar of dates available year-round. The company also plans to develop additional lodging and hospitality amenities on the property as part of its alternative lodging strategy to better serve guests and expand their reach in Texas.
