Morimoto Asia’s Lunar New Year specials recognize the ‘Year of the Snake’

VOLUME 26 | ISSUE 3 | JANUARY 21, 2025

Morimoto Asia, operated by Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group at Disney Springs in Florida, is celebrating the Lunar New Year with new pan-Asian menu items and a limited-time cocktail.

Each year, the Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year, celebrates a new animal representing one of the 12 zodiac signs. The 2025 Lunar New Year, which kicks off Jan. 29, is the Year of the Snake – and Morimoto created menu offerings available from Jan. 20 through Feb. 8 to mark the start of a new reigning animal.

Morimoto Asia in Orlando is celebrating the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake with two limited-time dishes and a special cocktail. Guests can pair the crispy Bossamstyle Pork Belly entrée with the Snake Eyes cocktail, made with mezcal and banana liqueur, which gives the drink its distinct color.

The Snake Eyes cocktail pairs Ojo de Tigre mezcal with banana liqueur, coconut, lime juice and a half-salt rim for a bold and flavorful drink.

Guests can complement their cocktail with the Tempura Softshell Crab appetizer or the Crispy Bossam-style Pork Belly main for a meal that’s as festive as it is delicious.
