Dallas airport team recognized for going above and beyond for passengers

The Delaware North Travel team at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) last month was recognized not once – but twice – for outstanding customer service.

The airport held its annual Excellence in Customer Service Awards in mid-December, and Delaware North’s two food and beverage outlets were awarded top accolades.

Salt Lick BBQ won the Top DFW Concept in Operation Excellence, and Twisted Root Burger Co. won the Top DFW Concept in Customer Service.

Three food and beverage team members – Shenouda Azer, Samir Ibrahim and Samia Wasif – were also recognized with DFW excellence in customer service awards.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” said Shenoudah Alfy, Delaware North’s assistant general manager at DFW. “These awards not only highlight our commitment to excellence, but also reinforce our position as leaders in the industry.”

The team was also personally recognized by DFW Vice President of Concessions Zenola Campbell for staying open until 2:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve to feed stranded travelers.

Campbell wrote: “Your efforts in remaining open, all while maintaining a positive attitude, turned a difficult situation into a memorable experience for our customers, many of whom were impacted by delays and cancellations. Thank you for going above and beyond to uphold our commitment to exceptional service, even under challenging circumstances. Your hard work and dedication are deeply appreciated.”
