Buffalo was one of several cities hosting games in the first and second round of the tournament, March 19-22, attracting fans from near and far to the area.
The Westin Buffalo, located at Delaware North’s corporate headquarters, transformed the lobby into a basketball-themed sports bar, featuring giant inflatable basketballs, snacks from local partner Top Seedz and a TV to catch all the action.
Down the street, Delaware North Sportservice curated a lineup of game-day food and beverage specials designed to elevate the experience from tipoff to the final buzzer at KeyBank Center.
The specials were available during the six games held at the arena – highlights included a Honey Nut Hoops Shake featuring Honey Nut Cheerios, Tim Hortons Timbits, Perry’s vanilla ice cream and a basketball lollipop, as well as the One‑Foot Papas Locas featuring waffle fries topped with queso, three‑meat chili, corn salsa, cotija cheese, jalapenos and cilantro.
Popular social media content creator Tony Glass (pictured below), known for his Chef Reactions page, traveled to Buffalo for the games and posted an Instagram video highlighting the specials.
Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack
Delaware North’s gaming property in Wheeling, W.Va., offered guests an all-day viewing experience, showing all games from both the men’s and women’s tournaments on multiple TVs throughout the casino. WTOV-9, the local Fox affiliate, featured Wheeling in a recent March Madness story.
