For one month, MetLife Stadium (or NYNJ Stadium, as it was temporarily called) served as the epicenter of the world’s biggest sporting event.
From the opening match through the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, the onsite Sportservice team played a central role in welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests from around the globe, delivering food, beverage, retail and hospitality experiences across eight matches – including the tournament’s championship match between Argentina and Spain.
The scale of the operation reflected the magnitude of an event watched by billions worldwide.

Across the eight games, Sportservice served 105,823 stadium hot dogs – more than 600 cases – along with another 230 cases of footlong hot dogs. If laid end to end, those hot dogs would stretch approximately 10 miles.
Fans also consumed nearly 84,000 orders of chicken tenders, one of the most popular menu items throughout the competition.
The culinary program reflected the international spirit of the World Cup, offering guests a mix of local favorites, elevated stadium fare and globally inspired offerings.
Among the top-selling specialty items were:
- 6,480 Filet Mignon Sandwiches
- 5,385 Fat Rooster Sandwiches
- 4,687 Fat Rooster Tenders & Fries
- 4,062 Tacos (classic beef, al pastor and mojo chicken)
- 3,477 Lobster Rolls
- 3,011 Colombian Hot Dogs
- 2,917 orders of Fresh Pasta, including Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Alfredo and Nonna’s Sauce
On the beverage side, fans consumed nearly 271,000 bottles of Dasani water, 263,074 bottles of Michelob Ultra, 155,696 cans of Stella Artois and 147,531 Coca-Cola 20-ounce bottles. Guests also enjoyed 13,300 batched Diageo cocktails, while Sportservice team members tapped approximately 750 kegs of beer.
The Sportservice retail team onsite reported more than 110,000 total transactions, with nearly 34% of those occurring in the team store. The highest selling items were T-shirts, with scarves, hats, jerseys and pins also leading the mix. Nearly 7,000 units of the Finals woven scarf were sold.

Behind every meal, beverage and guest interaction was a massive team effort. For the tournament final alone, Delaware North deployed more than 2,500 employees across culinary, concessions, premium hospitality, retail operations and fan-zone activations, representing one of the largest event-day staffing efforts in company history.
