Access Employee Assistance Programs, mental health resources

VOL 26 ISSUE 19, May 12, 2025

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States, the perfect time to check in on yourself. Balancing work and personal life can get overwhelming – team members are encouraged to explore Delaware North’s emotional well-being resources.

It’s OK to ask for help

Everyone deals with issues – anger, depression, stress, etc. – that keep us from being our best selves. You don’t need to tough it out alone. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help.

Team members have resources through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). Professional counselors can help you understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and find healthy ways to cope with and resolve any challenges you may be facing.

Check things off your to-do list

How great would it be to have help finding a daycare, creating a budget or solving a legal issue? If you need help tracking down information (on pretty much anything), let your EAP do the work. They have resources on child/elder care, budgeting, investing, retirement planning, wills, legal services and more.
