NASHVILLE (April 23, 2024) –Nashville International Airport recently welcomed a new addition to its culinary lineup with the grand opening of Prince’s Hot Chicken restaurant, an iconic local destination known for its spicy chicken.

The airport outpost of Nashville-based Prince’s Hot Chicken, located in the corridor between concourses C and D, was one of several new restaurants to cut the celebratory ribbon on April 22.

Touted as “the original hot chicken,” the Nashville airport location is managed by Delaware North with joint-venture partners Edgar Chase and Jeffries Hospitality. Delaware North oversees the management of a diverse portfolio of foodservice concepts at the airport, including Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and PigStar BBQ.

“It’s a really proud moment for us to bring such an iconic local brand into the airport,” said Donald Graham, Delaware North’s general manager at the Nashville airport. “Prince’s Hot Chicken is the original name in hot chicken, which is hotter – both in flavor profile and popularity – than ever before.”

The family-owned-and-operated Prince’s Hot Chicken was founded nearly 100 years ago by Thornton Prince, known as “the father of Nashville’s hot chicken,” and is now led by his great niece, Andre Prince Jeffries and her daughter, Semone Jeffries.

“It’s an exciting time for Prince’s and the family to finally be a part of the airport community,” said Semone Jeffries, CEO of Prince’s Hot Chicken. “We are honored and thankful to be up and running with our joint venture partners Delaware North, and look forward to sharing our love of hot chicken with travelers far and wide.”

Menu items include an assortment of chicken tenders – served plain, mild, medium, hot and XX hot – and the signature Andre sandwich, as well as sides such as french fries, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. The airport location is open approximately 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
