Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex charity food drive begins with donation honoring Delaware North centennial

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex recently launched its fourth annual “30 Days of Giving,” benefitting the Brevard County sharing centers.

In November, through contributions of nonperishable food items at the visitor complex, Brevard residents can support the three area sharing centers, which provide emergency assistance to individuals and families in need.

At the launch, Therrin Protze, the visitor complex’s chief operating officer, presented a $5,000 check to ksc360-8069597Dave Brubaker, president and chief executive officer of Central Brevard Sharing Center. The donation was in honor of the 100th anniversary of Delaware North, which operates the visitor complex for NASA.

“Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is honored to present the sharing centers with this $5,000 donation to support the important work they do here in Brevard County,” said Protze. “And with support and contributions from Brevard residents, we hope to collect a record number of food donations this year.”

Brubaker accepted the check with Joe Robinson, executive director of North Brevard Charities Sharing Center, and John Autry, executive director of South Brevard Sharing Center.
