Food and retail outlet openings make for a busy March in Delaware North’s travel business

Delaware North recently celebrated the opening of two additional concepts in its travel business.

In partnership with TPA Hospitality Partners, The Cafe by Mise en Place opened last weekend at Tampa International Airport (TPA). Meanwhile, Book People opened for business two weeks ago at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS).

Mise en Place, located in TPA’s Airside F terminal, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu offering a wide selection of freshly made entrees, salads, desserts and an extensive bar selection. The concept was developed from an award-winning restaurant located in downtown Tampa Bay, which has been a mainstay of modern-American dining for over 30 years.

Book People is Delaware North’s newest retail location at AUS and is located near the main security checkpoint at Gate G11. In addition to featuring bestselling authors on the shelves, Book People offers an assortment of local specialty foods, soaps and lotions, luggage, electronics and cold beverages.

The concept was developed from one of Austin’s leading independent bookstores, which dates back to 1970. Located in the heart of downtown, Book People has been voted best bookstore in Austin for more than 15 years.

Book People was voted Bookstore of the Year by Publisher’s Weekly in 2005. With visits from some of the most interesting and important authors of the past 43 years, as well as by former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, Book People is the destination bookstore in Texas.
