Delaware North team at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex recognized by Florida Safety Council

Team members at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which Delaware North operates for NASA on Florida’s Space Coast, on March 21 were recognized by the Florida Safety Council for excelling at safety performance in 2024.

The award – which “emphasizes the critical importance of safety in the community and acknowledges the dedicated efforts of both individuals and organizations in promoting a culture of safety” – was presented to the visitor complex safety team at Florida Safety Council’s 2025 Safety Awards Breakfast Gala in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

“Each day we welcome guests to the visitor complex from all over the world, and ensuring they have the freedom to explore in a safe environment is essential,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of the visitor complex.

“Our team members play an integral role in supporting safety, and it’s great to see their efforts recognized by the Florida Safety Council,” Protze said.
