Delaware North raises $200,000 for United Way during annual campaign

Delaware North is proud to announce that $200,000 was raised for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County during the company’s 2021 corporate campaign.

Company leadership joined associates at Delaware North’s global headquarters in Buffalo in contributing to the campaign. The company also contributed an additional $120,000 retroactively to the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s 2020 campaign.

“We continue to be inspired by the commitment our associates have for this campaign year after year,” said Lou Jacobs, CEO, Delaware North. “Despite being in the thick of the pandemic, you admirably stepped up to invest in our hometown, and we’re grateful for your participation in the 2021 United Way campaign.”

The campaign was kicked off virtually in October 2021 with guest speakers from the Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo and the United Way. In September 2021, an online excess office furniture raffle was held, with proceeds of $2,300 directly benefitting the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

Access to basic resources such as housing, food, health care and education remain a challenge for many, as the impacts of the pandemic widened existing gaps for our most vulnerable neighbors.

The funds raised by Delaware North will support local programs that make enduring impacts in education, health and wellness, and developing the opportunity workforce in Buffalo.
