Airport associates fly high with above-and-beyond guest service

Several associates throughout Delaware North’s travel division have been recently recognized for their outstanding efforts in serving guests.

At Tampa International Airport (TPA), two associates were recognized with the airport’s “I am TPA” award for exemplary service after receiving positive feedback from guests.

Kimberly Myers, a bartender at RumFish Grill, garnered a glowing comment from a guest, stating, “I was flying through Tampa and stopped for some fries at the RumFish Grill and my server, Kimberly was helping another ‘not-so-friendly’ guest and she handled their concerns with true hospitality and poise. You would have never known she was just treated rudely as she let it brush under the rug! Kudos to her and I hope you value her the way I sure do!”

Another associate, Alonzo Correa, a bartender at Café by Mise en Place, also received a positive guest comment for his service: “Just a note of kudos for the exemplary service I received from Alonzo at the Tampa Int’l Airport. Even though the restaurant was very busy, Alonzo took the time to make me feel special and provide me with fantastic service!”

Kimberly and Alonzo were presented their awards and a $50 gift card by TPA’s executive vice president of operations and customer service.

Larry Harris, a shift supervisor for Delaware North at Chick-fil-A at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, was awarded a “Winning Hearts Every Day” pin. The pin, a coveted recognition within Chick-fil-A, was given to Harris for receiving a positive guest comment for delivering excellent customer service at the front counter.

At Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, Delaware North associate George Beasley received praise for his top-notch service at The Saxon Pub from a visiting music executive.

Two Delaware North associates at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport recently won Excellence in Safety Awards for Airport General Safety after exemplifying new safety protocols that have been rolled out during the months of limited operations at the airport.

The associates, Jennifer Douglas and Stan Sutton, earned the praise after positive comments from a guest for their attention to detail during a water leak in one of the airport restaurants. Part of the guest’s comments read, “I was pleased to see the initiative of these two who took ownership of the cleanup process while also maintaining the safest of conditions for me and the other impacted guests.”
