Third Consecutive Year of Honor Results in Induction into the
Restaurant and Caterers Association Hall of Fame.
Melbourne, Australia (October 10, 2007) - Delaware North Companies Australia will be inducted into the Restaurant and Caterers Association (Victoria) Hall of Fame after its third consecutive “Event Caterer Award”. This recognition is made possible due to the company’s catering efforts at the Australian Open Grand Slam.
Delaware North was awarded the 2007 “Event Caterer Award- Australian Open at Melbourne Park” by Restaurant & Catering Victoria at a ceremony held at the Crown Casino.
The 2007 Australian Open hosted a record-setting 554,858 spectators, including 67,000 VIP Marquees who were accommodated in SuperBoxes. During the event, Delaware North staff numbers swelled to 1200, retail outlets grew from 17 to 45 and the kitchen brigade staffed over 100 to deliver the total catering needs.
