Delaware North announces successful “buzzing” beverage campaign

Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and entertainment, announced the success of its 2024 “Bee the Difference” campaign. The company will make a donation of over $20,000 to The Bee Cause Project to continue the organization’s critical mission of inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards while protecting the planet’s precious pollinators.

During the campaign, which began on the first day of Earth Month, April 1, and concluded on World Bee Day, May 20, Delaware North offered guests at more than 100 of its U.S. operating locations two specially crafted cocktails: “Bee’s Harvest Margarita,” a premium margarita made with PATRÓN Silver Tequila, and “Bourbon Bee’s Knees,” made with Angel’s Envy Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

“Delaware North is proud to share the success of this year’s ‘Bee the Difference’ campaign, which will provide essential support to one of the hardest working creatures on our planet: the bee,” said Debbie Friedel, corporate senior director of sustainability at Delaware North. “Protecting these important creatures benefits us all and the success of this campaign was made possible by the efforts of our team members who served as environmental stewards, supporting this important mission from our participating locations.”

This is the second year Delaware North has partnered with The Bee Cause Project on the campaign, which included the exclusive themed cocktails and educational interactive augmented reality experiences. Guests could also answer trivia questions to learn about the importance of pollinators and share pollinator-themed facts and selfies on their social media channels.

Participating Delaware North operations included several Patina Restaurant Group locations at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World in Orlando; Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., and select restaurants at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, among many others.

The Bee Cause Project offers a variety of grants and resources to schools and nonprofit organizations across North America, Canada, and beyond.
