GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ohio (Sept. 20, 2017) — Located adjacent to The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, across 25 acres of Geneva State Park, Lake Erie Canopy Tours, featuring the Adult and Kids Adventure Challenge Courses and Zipline Canopy Tour will open Sept. 22, 2017.
Suspended above the forest floor, riders will travel through the canopy’s sky bridges, towers, and other course features. All riders will be harnessed and belayed to a network of steel cables for maximum safety.
Lake Erie Canopy Tours will be open on Fridays and Saturdays through October (weather permitting). Hours of operation for the Challenge Courses are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (last tickets will be sold at 3:00 p.m.). The Zipline Canopy Tours are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to ensure all forms are completed. The 2018 season will be open April through October.

Lake Erie Canopy Tours experiences include:
- Adult Adventure Challenge Course: The self-guided course with 35 elements, ranging from easy to extreme, is monitored by trained professionals to help ensure safety and provide assistance. The course can be tailored to the adventurer’s level of experience. The course lasts up to two hours and is great for group outings and team building excursions. Course highlights include: Amazon Bridge, The Barrels, Jungle Traverse, Rainbow Bridge, a daring (and optional) free-fall back down to earth, and more.
- Kids Adventure Challenge Course: Similar to the Adult Adventure Challenge Course, the Kids Adventure Challenge Course is set closer to the ground and offers opportunities for children ages 2 to 10 to climb, zip and more. Course highlights include: Mini-Trapeze, The Wiggle, Short Zips and more.
- Zipline Canopy Tour: The Zipline Canopy Tour will offer multiple zipline sections, including a side-by-side double zip, swinging sky bridges and several tree top towers up to 60 feet tall. The tour will showcase a shoreline panorama and the beauty of the park. The experience is guided by two staff members in groups of eight or less for approximately two hours.

Ashtabula County, Delaware North and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources partnered to bring the project to life following its announcement. Lake Erie Canopy Tours was designed, engineered and constructed by Skyline Ziplines, which has designed and operated world class ziplines, challenge towers and suspension bridges throughout the U.S. The aerial attraction is operated by Delaware North, which also operates The Lodge & Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake.
