Team will host Father's Day Brunch and day of fun at Soldier Field
BUFFALO, N.Y. (June 13, 2008) – The Chicago Bears, Delaware North Companies Sportservice and SMG are partnering to give fathers, sons and their entire families a day to remember this Father’s Day.
On June 15, the Bears, Sportservice, and SMG will hold a delicious Father’s Day Brunch at Soldier Field allowing fans to meet Bears legend Richard Dent and give each father a chance to kick a field goal from the field. Sportservice will also keep the team Pro-Shop open throughout the day for fans to purchase Bears apparel and merchandise. An Autographed Robbie Gould jersey will also be raffled off courtesy of Sportservice.
The unique day will open with an elaborate brunch prepared by Sportservice chefs. The menu will include such delectable items as seasonal fruit, artisan cheeses, shrimp, snow crab, salmon, salads, chili rubbed turkey breast, along with omelet and waffle action stations. Dessert offerings will include a Build-a-Cupcake station and Berry Trifle Strawberry shortcake.
Following the buffet, families will be able to meet former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Richard Dent for an autograph session. Dent spent most of his career with the Bears and helped them win the 1985 Super Bowl. Dent was named Super Bowl MVP that same year.
Finally, families can make their way onto the field for photos and to watch fathers kick field goals from the stadium turf.
