Casino Player and Strictly Slots magazines have recognized four Delaware Northowned-and-operated gaming locations – Southland Casino Hotel, Miami Valley Gaming, Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack and Mardi Gras Casino & Resort – with 60 different 2023 state-by-state gaming awards.

Boston Billiard Club & Casino has been renamed Gate City Casino to pay homage to Nashua and reflect its major expansion as a leading gaming destination in New Hampshire and the Greater Boston region.

The restaurant, which will replace the former Midway Buffet dining area, will feature menus catered to guests’ top-three requested food styles: fried, comfort and grilled foods. The nearby dining room, which used to host private events, is also being reimagined and updated.

Delaware North’s Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, Ark., is donating nearly $20,000 to relief efforts for residents of Wynne, Ark., which on March 31 was hit by a tornado that left four people dead, dozens injured, and many homes and businesses destroyed.

John Macklin has been the executive chef at Mardi Gras Casino & Resort near Charleston, W. Va., since joining Delaware North in 2018 – shortly after the company acquired the Gaming property. Macklin is at the helm of culinary operations for Mardi Gras, which includes several restaurants and bars and a lounge, as well as banquet and catering services.

Southland Casino Hotel, Delaware North's owned-and-operated gaming property in West Memphis, Ark., is celebrating the completion of a $320 million dollar expansion, including a brand-new 300-room, 20-story hotel with 12 penthouse suites, and a 113,000-square-foot gaming floor that features 2,400 slot machines, 50 live table games and a variety of bars and dining options.
