Delaware North this week reopened the Anchor Bar at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The concept and most others at the airport had closed in March 2020 in the wake of the global pandemic’s impact on travel.
The Anchor Bar joins other concepts that have reopened in phases since summer 2020: Queen City Kitchen, Blue Zone, Market on Elmwood, Coffee Beanery, JetSet Market (West) and Fifth & Main.
The second JetSet Market (East) at the airport also reopened this week, and Delaware North is planning to reopen the Tim Hortons outlet this summer.
Delaware North operates food, beverage and retail services at the airport for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority. The reopening of concepts this week comes as Delaware North reports its business at the airport has now rebounded to about 50 percent of the pre-pandemic level and nearly all of its employees have been recalled.
