Yellowstone General Stores offer Pathways program for local vendors

For more than a decade, the Delaware North-operated Yellowstone General Stores have invited local vendors, artists and authors into the 12 stores to promote and sell their products. Over time, the effort has grown into the Pathways to Yellowstone program – a guest-vendor experience unlike any other in Yellowstone National Park.

Since its inception, more than 30 local jewelers, pottery makers, artists, photographers, authors and vendors have participated in the Pathways program. There are more than 100 total Pathways events that take place each year throughout Yellowstone’s four largest retail stores: Old Faithful Upper, Canyon General, Fishing Bridge and Grant General Store.

The program draws on the experience and expertise of Delaware North’s local partners and vendors, many of whom specialize in producing one-of-a kind products from Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Some participants are local vendors whose merchandise the Yellowstone General Stores already carry; however, the program most often serves as an incubator to bring smaller, local vendors into Yellowstone National Park that may not be able to produce enough for a full summer of sales.

The Pathways to Yellowstone program supports Delaware North’s proprietary stewardship platform, GreenPath. By embracing and sharing the vibrant culture of the local community, it helps to provide a richer, more meaningful experience for the millions of guests that visit Yellowstone National Park each year.
