Bruins, TD Garden associates lend a ‘green’ hand at local park

As they prepared to host the Stanley Cup Final at the Delaware North-owned-and-operated TD Garden, arena associates, members of the Bruins staff and Sportservice associates recently took time to complete a community service project at a local park.

About 20 associates, led by Bruins Community Relations Director Kerry Collins, volunteered at the Charles River Esplanade, a state-owned park about a mile away from TD Garden. The group, which also included Bruins mascot Blades, sported their best Bruins gear as they planted flowers and painted benches along the esplanade. Volunteers even got to plant a “black and gold” garden, complete with Boston Bruins flags, just in time for the start of the Stanley Cup Final series.

The park depends on volunteer groups to keep the space beautiful, clean, and safe for the estimated 3 million people who visit the park each year.
