Kennedy Space Center to host World Space Expo November 1-4, 2007

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. (Jan. 31, 2007) – NASA's Kennedy Space Center announced today that it will host the inaugural World Space Expo. The expo will be held November 1-4, 2007 and will feature an Aerial Salute by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds during the opening weekend.

World Space Expo will feature one of the largest space artifact and hardware displays ever assembled. It will be coupled with renowned aerospace personalities to celebrate the past, showcase the present and provide a look at the future of space exploration. The Expo will be designed to inspire, educate and stimulate an awareness and understanding of the achievements and benefits of space exploration.

"Working with NASA, we are creating the most exciting and comprehensive space exposition, World Space Expo. The event will give all who attend a true picture of mankind's greatest achievements from the place that sends people into space," said Daniel LeBlanc, Chief Operating Officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, host to the nine-day event.

The primary venues for World Space Expo will be Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and the Apollo/Saturn V Center. The Aerial Salute by the Thunderbirds will be show centered at Banana River Causeway, a site frequently used for viewing Shuttle launches.
