DETROIT – October 1, 2025 – Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and entertainment, in partnership with Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA), is proud to announce the grand opening of two exciting new dining concepts at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW): Wahlburgers and 7greens.
The new outlets join Delaware North’s existing foodservice and retail operations at DTW, which have been in place since 2012.
“We’re thrilled to broaden our footprint in Detroit alongside our new partners,” said Scott Socha, president of Delaware North’s Travel division. “This is another great reinforcement of our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative and locally inspired offerings.”
Wahlburgers, founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and Chef Paul Wahlberg, brings its signature gourmet burgers and family-inspired recipes to Terminal A. The new location offers a crave-worthy menu featuring Certified Angus Beef burgers, breakfast burritos, crispy chicken sandwiches and plant-based options. Operating daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wahlburgers will serve travelers as a counter-service concept across from Gate A64, with shared seating nearby.
“Detroit holds a special place in the heart of the Wahlberg family,” said Randy Sharpe, CEO of Wahlburgers. “Opening at DTW is especially meaningful, and we’re thrilled to bring our favorite recipes to travelers in a city that shares our pride and personality.”
7greens, a health-forward café founded by Michigan native Kelly Schaefer, offers chef-inspired bowls, wraps and salads made with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Born and raised in the Motor City, 7greens reflects Detroit’s vibrant culinary culture and commitment to wellness.
“7greens is honored to bring the flavors of our locally grown brand to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport,” said Kelly Schaefer, founder of 7greens. “This opportunity allows 7greens to share a true taste of our delicious, healthy food with travelers from around the globe – whether they’re just arriving, taking off, or simply passing through. We’re proud to serve the same fresh, healthy, local flavors that our community loves – now to the world.”
The openings are part of a broader refresh of DTW’s concessions program, which also includes the recent debut of Cask & Craft Local Spirits + Bites, Born in Detroit Kitchen + Bar and The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, along with the forthcoming Dunkin’.
