KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA (March 20, 2007) – Ramping up for Florida’s only new attraction in 2007, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has added four tourism industry veterans.
“The power of the new attraction has caught the attention of many quality professionals. With these additions, we’re fully staffed in preparation for the opening of Shuttle Launch Experience,” said Tom Olson, Director of Marketing. “Each of these individuals bring their unique talent and broad experience to strengthen our position in the competitive attraction marketplace.”
Reini Marsh has been named Director of Domestic Sales, responsible for growing domestic sales markets and managing the reservations call center. Marsh has 16 years of professional experience in the travel industry with extensive knowledge of both the domestic and international market. Prior to joining the Visitor Complex, she was Director of Sales for Cypress Gardens, the Destinations Sales Manager at Smart Destinations in Boston, MA and the Director of Sales for Gatorland in Orlando, Fl. She is a committee member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and a member of the Meeting Planners International.
Industry veteran Christopher Ellis is the new Director of International Sales, responsible for increasing and developing international sales markets, as well as cruise and event sales. Ellis has 19 years experience in the resort and park industry with an emphasis in the international markets, having worked previously as Manager of Sales for Universal Orlando. He served on the Travel Industry of America Pow Wow planning committee, Receptive Services of America Advisory Board and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Chris has also worked as an Area Manager for both Unijet Travel Ltd. and Cosmos Holiday.
Craig Corwin, a nine-year veteran of the theme park industry, has been named Corporate & Convention Sales Manager. Prior to joining Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Corwin worked as a National Sales Manager at PRA Destination Management, an Associate Representative for International Sales and Event Management and an Area Manager for Attraction Operations at Universal Orlando, as well as an Operations Supervisor at Cedar Point Amusement Park.
Sara Fieberg has been hired as a new Public Relations Representative to coordinate community relations and assist with research, writing and media relations. Previously, Sara was the Associate Director of the Academic Support Center at Florida Institute of Technology. She is a graduate student at Florida Tech, pursuing a Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communication.
