Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop – a favorite of Western New Yorkers – arrives at Buffalo airport

Delaware North on Dec. 22 added to its lineup of food, beverage and retail offerings at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport with the opening of Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop.
 
timhortonsbuf-8201406The Canada-based, multinational chain restaurant – known for its coffee and doughnuts – has a longstanding presence and connection to Western New York, with the first store opening in 1964 in nearby Hamilton, Ontario (Canada). The establishment’s co-founder and namesake, Tim Horton, played 24 seasons in the NHL, including two with the Buffalo Sabres (1972-73 and 1973-74). 
 
“Tim Hortons is beloved in Western New York and around the world, so we are thrilled to bring it to Buffalo Niagara International Airport,” said Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North’s travel division. “With its iconic coffee and expansive menu of high-quality baked goods and breakfast offerings, we will be giving travelers convenient access to a local favorite and a true taste of the region.”
 
Tim Hortons has more than 4,400 units in the United States, Canada and the Middle East, and offers a menu that includes premium coffee, hot and cold specialty drinks (including lattes, cappuccinos and espresso shots), specialty teas and fruit smoothies, fresh baked goods and a selection of prepared foods.
 
“We are very pleased that Tim Hortons is offering its famous coffee, delicious breakfast, and tasty baked goods at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport,” said Kimberley A. Minkel, executive director of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, which operates the airport. “The name is well-renowned for serving quality products in our region for many years, and I am confident they will be very popular with our customers.”
