The Edison, operated by Patina Group at Disney Springs in Florida, on Aug. 21 hosted the second-annual Bartenders Bash and two of Patina Group’s own took home trophies for their crafty creations.

The event is a friendly competition between Orlando mixologists to develop the most creative cocktail for guests and a panel of expert judges, which includes representatives from Disney Food Blog and the Official Disney Day Drinkers Club.
Frank Obregon Blasco of Morimoto Asia, also operated by Patina Group at Disney Springs, won first place for “The Mutiny” featuring Bacardi Black rum, Leblon Cachaça, Jägermeister, scratch miso, pineapple syrup, Calpico, pineapple juice and chai foam.

The event also raised $16,000 through a silent auction to benefit Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit organization operating an 89-acre resort in Kissimmee, Fla., that provides critically ill children and their families with vacations to Central Florida.
The event, which debuted in 2024, was developed by Aaron Ferg, director of special projects for Patina Group, and Cole Johnson, beverage manager at The Edison, with a vision to give back to the community while celebrating local movers and shakers in the craft cocktail scene.
