Tenaya at Yosemite receives national spotlight as 2026 Good Housekeeping Travel Awards winner

VOL 26 ISSUE 48, Dec. 1, 2025

Tenaya at Yosemite, Delaware North’s full-service resort in Fish Camp, Calif., near Yosemite National Park, has been named to the 2026 Good Housekeeping Travel Awards.

To find the best hotels, resorts and destinations, Good Housekeeping enlisted the help of more than 125 travel testers – including staff, travel industry experts and trained consumer evaluators – to assess hundreds of travel experiences and services.

Tenaya’s array of unique accommodations, dining and amenities earned a spot in the Outdoor Exploration category, where it was listed as the “National Park Trailblazer.”

The winners were announced on Good Housekeeping’s website in mid-November and will be featured in the January/February print edition of the magazine.

In the online article titled “46 Vacation Ideas for Travelers Who Can’t Sit Still,” Contributing Travel Editor Karen Cicero notes that the winners were “built for the fun seekers – families, friend groups and adventure-curious travelers who prioritize memory-making days.”

An excerpt from the article is below:

Just two miles from the South Gate entrance, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite greets national park goers in its wood-beamed lobby with snacks and information about on-property activities. From archery to flashlight walks, stargazing and rock climbing, a wide array of activities are included in the rate.

A dip in one of the property’s three outdoor pools is a popular way to end the day. Multi-bedroom Explorer Cabins help families get a restful night’s sleep so as to have energy for the next day’s action.

Instead of exploring the national park on their own, our tester booked a daylong guided Yosemite 360 Tour, an excursion offered by the resort at an extra charge. “Our guide was such a gem,” she said. “He took us to some cool spots to pick wild gooseberries and raspberries and pan for gold at a river and shared beautiful nature spots and photo ops.”
