TD Garden named among ‘Sensory Inclusive Venues of the Year’ by KultureCity

TD Garden, owned and operated by Delaware North in Boston, was recognized on April 18 at the 2025 Human Highlight Sensory Inclusive Venues of the Year Awards hosted by KultureCity in Birmingham, Ala. 

KultureCity, the world’s leading nonprofit dedicated to sensory inclusion and accessibility, hosted the 7th annual awards to celebrate venues and organizations that have gone above and beyond to create welcoming environments for individuals with sensory needs, including those with autism, PTSD, dementia and other invisible disabilities. 

Mitchell O’Connor (right), event operations manager, accepted the “Venue/Multipurpose Award” on behalf of TD Garden during the Sensory Inclusive Venues of the Year awards ceremony hosted by KultureCity. O’Connor, pictured with Hannah Hooper, KultureCity board member and lead vocalist for Grouplove, is among the team members working with KultureCity on sensory-inclusive resources for fans. 

TD Garden – New England’s largest sports and entertainment arena and home to the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics – received the 2025 Sensory Inclusive Venue of the Year Award in the Venue/Multipurpose category. 

TD Garden has partnered with KultureCity for the last three years and is the first and only arena in the world to have four sensory rooms available for guests. 

Past “Human Highlight Sensory Inclusive Venues” honorees have included State Farm Arena, Little Caesars Arena, Georgia Aquarium, Lincoln Financial Field, Caesars Superdome, City of Salt Lake City, City of Helena, Ala., Urgent Care for Children, Lumen Field and Carnival Cruise Line.
