With World Cup matches now underway at MetLife Stadium – rebranded as NYNJ Stadium for the tournament – following the June 13 kickoff, hospitality and retail operator Sportservice is delivering a bold, globally inspired menu to fans.
In total, Sportservice will serve fans across eight matches at the venue – including the Round of 32 on June 30, the Round of 16 on July 5 and the Final on July 19 – marking a significant moment in the company’s long history of serving sports fans on the world’s biggest stages.
Influenced by the rich culinary diversity of New York City and northern New Jersey, the menu blends international street food traditions with elevated stadium fare. Fans will find offerings both inside the stadium and throughout the Stadium Fan Experience zone surrounding the venue.
“We wanted to create a menu that reflects the communities and cultures that define this region while also delivering a dynamic food experience for a global audience,” said Michael Butler, executive chef for Sportservice at NYNJ Stadium.
A menu inspired by the region – and the world
The lineup brings together flavors from across cultures, including Italian, Mexican and Latin American influences, alongside classic East Coast seafood.
Featured sandwiches include:
- Choripán Sandwich: char-grilled chorizo, chimichurri and grilled onions on a toasted sesame roll. Available at GW12 and the Stadium Fan Experience.
- Filet Mignon Sandwich: espresso-rubbed filet topped with smoked gouda, balsamic onions, horseradish aioli, arugula and garlic butter on a seeded roll. Available at Stand 108 and the Stadium Fan Experience.
A nod to New Jersey tradition, Garden State Rippers, which has a stand at GW5 and within the Stadium Fan Experience, offers:
- Colombian Hot Dog: topped with pineapple salsa, ketchup mayo and crispy potato sticks (Stadium Fan Experience and GW5).
- Salchipapas: crispy fries, fried hot dogs, ketchup mayo, pickled Fresno chili and Thai slaw (Stadium Fan Experience only).
- Fans looking for seafood can enjoy:
- Classic Lobster Roll: tender, sweet lobster topped with lemon aioli and fresh chives on a toasted split-top bun. Available at GW19 and the Stadium Fan Experience.
- Street Corn Lobster Roll: tender, sweet lobster topped with charred corn, tajin and ancho chili aioli on a split-top bun. Available at GW19 and the Stadium Fan Experience.
- Mexican Shrimp Cocktail with avocado and pickled onions. Available at GW19 and the Stadium Fan Experience.
- At Tacos Raqueros, located at GW8 and 315A, options include:
- Classic Beef Taco: spiced ground beef topped with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and cotija crema in a flour tortilla.
- Al Pastor Taco: char-grilled pork topped with grilled pineapple salsa, cilantro and onion in a corn tortilla.
- Mojo Chicken Taco: citrus-chili-marinated chicken topped with cilantro and onion in a corn tortilla.
