Southland Casino Hotel, Delaware North’s superregional gaming property in West Memphis, Ark., has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating for the first time.
To earn the designation, Southland had to pass a rigorous evaluation that included unscheduled visits from AAA’s expert inspectors.

The prestigious rating was awarded in recognition of Southland’s refined, stylish and upscale physical attributes, an extensive array of amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.
Southland Casino Hotel is now one of four properties in Arkansas and one of nine in the greater Memphis, Tenn., area with the AAA Four Diamond rating.
Delaware North continues to invest in the property, completing a three-year, $320 million expansion in 2022 that transformed the property into a Las Vegas-style destination with a 300-room, 20-story hotel that solidified its place as a top superregional casino. Recent additions to the property include a refresh of the fitness center with new floors and additional water stations, upgraded in-room amenities and a remodeled Chairman’s Bar on the main casino floor.
The hotel has consistently delivered excellent hospitality to its guests since the expansion and has received various awards and garnered extensive media coverage, including 17 Casino Player magazine Best of Gaming awards, was voted the best casino in the Memphis, Tenn., region and was featured in Texas Lifestyle Magazine, among other publications.
Team members celebrate award with diamond-themed event
In recognition of receiving the Four Diamond rating, team members at Southland were treated to a luxurious diamond-themed event. Held onsite, the party featured black, white and silver décor, a VIP lounge, balloon arches and a custom photo booth.
The event was catered by Dim Sum King, a popular restaurant in Memphis, Tenn., with music provided by DJ Ryan the Mind. Team members had a chance to win a variety of prizes, including one of four $250 awards for the “best dressed” contests.
“This event was the perfect way to celebrate receiving our first Four Diamond rating, while also acknowledging the team for their contribution to Southland’s success,” Imomoh said.
