Leaders from Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Resort, Delaware North’s gaming property in Wheeling, W.Va., on Sept. 9 volunteered for their local United Way Day of Caring. The team spent the day working at Wheeling Health Right, a nonprofit primary care clinic that provides residents of the Ohio Valley access to free medical care, preventative care and dental care.

Pictured from left to right at the clinic are Crystal Bednar, marketing specialist; John Eden, table games manager; Anthony Graziano, director of food and beverage; Chris Peterson, director of surveillance; Lori Kutys, compliance manager; Chris Roark, assistant player services manager; Kim Florence, president and general manager of Wheeling Island; and Nichole Showalter, category management manager.

The volunteer outing was also counted toward Delaware North’s 250 Acts of Service. Team members and locations are encouraged to share their acts of service to be counted toward the initiative.

Delaware North’s corporate headquarters kicked off its 2026 United Way of Buffalo & Erie County campaign on Sept. 23 with a special visit from Trina Burruss (at left), president and CEO of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County. Burruss spoke to team members about how the United Way is making a difference across the Western New York community.
