Delaware North’s culinary team at Highmark Stadium debuted two new specialty sandwiches for Sunday’s Buffalo Bills game against the Kansas City Chiefs – “The Thurmanator” and “The Gunner”– honoring Bills legends Thurman Thomas and Steve Tasker. Last week, Executive Chef Zach Skinner surprised the duo live on MSG’s “One Bills Live,” delivering the creations in person. The Gunner was named for Tasker, one of the NFL’s all-time greats on special teams. It features Greek-marinated chicken breast, diced tomato, onion, banana peppers and feta cheese on a hoagie roll. The Thurmanator – created in honor of Thomas, a Hall of Fame running back and NFL MVP in 1991 – features crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, jalapeno relish and onion rings stacked on a Martin’s potato roll. Rock band Bon Jovi announced its return to Wembley Stadium next September, and last week made a press tour stop at the London venue, where Delaware North serves as hospitality provider. Delaware North’s suite at Wembley Stadium served as an onsite location for lead singer Jon Bon Jovi to do an interview and sign autographs.

Team members from Southland Casino Hotel, Delaware North’s superregional casino in West Memphis, Ark., attended the National Civil Rights Museum’s annual Freedom Award on Oct. 16 at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Memphis, Tenn. Delaware North and Southland sponsored the prestigious ceremony, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to civil and human rights, celebrating their unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

Last week, Delaware North’s Travel operations at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) provided breakfast for 100 Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees. “We have committed to preparing a meal each week for TSA employees to help ease the burden during turbulent times and show them we are all on the same team at MSY,” said Charles Simmons, general manager for Delaware North at the airport.
