Delaware North’s Patina Catering on March 8 served 1,000 guests for “Outstanding in the Field” at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif. Guests enjoyed a feast of passed appetizers, cocktails, wine and dishes featuring 20 of LA’s best chefs to benefit the Altadena and Palisades Community Funds.

In the wake of the recent fires in Los Angeles, the communal dinner and auction served as a powerful testament to the city’s unity and resilience, bringing together first responders, community members, celebrities, chefs and generous donors for a family-style meal. Above: Patina Catering team members gathered during event preparation, including Executive Chef Carl MacPherson, who worked alongside acclaimed chef Timothy Hollingsworth to execute the food and beverages for the event.

Gate City Casino, which Delaware North owns and operates in Nashua, N.H., on March 18 received an unexpected visitor when a barred owl flew into the casino through the front doors. The quick-thinking security team contacted a local wildlife rehabilitation center to assist in rescuing the bird, which was released back into the wild. The owl, nicknamed “Jack Pots” by the Gate City team, is pictured in the casino before the rescue.

Mark Martino, director of marketing for Gate City Casino, was interviewed by local ABC affiliate WMUR and Boston.com about the owl rescue.
