TD Garden – owned and operated by Delaware North and home of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics – was one of five venues across the country to receive a 2025 Facility of Merit for Safety and Security award given by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4). The award, presented during the 2025 National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition held last week in San Antonio, recognizes facilities teams that demonstrate innovative approaches to enhance safety and security at major venues for guests and team members.

TD Garden was nominated by the National Basketball Association (NBA) and was voted on by the NBA security directors. The award was presented by Lon Newsome (right), senior vice president and chief security officer for the NBA.

Lee Terfloth, chief interactive gaming officer for Delaware North, participated in two panels at SBC Summit Americas in late May, which brought together over 8,000 professionals in the sports betting industry in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Terfloth provided insights that included steps Delaware North is taking with its Betly retail and online sportsbooks to ensure responsible betting and how Delaware North is focused on a gaming growth strategy of omnichannel integration into brick-and-mortar casinos.

Team Delaware North had a strong showing at the 2025 Ride for Roswell, one of the biggest charity cycling events in the country. Led by captain Austin Ihle, finance manager, team members joined thousands of riders on June 28 to raise funds for cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, located in downtown Buffalo near Delaware North’s corporate headquarters.

Riders of all ages and abilities participated in various route options – ranging from short family rides to longer endurance routes throughout Western New York. Delaware North’s team raised over $5,000 for Roswell Park’s cancer research and programs.

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack on June 11 announced the recipients of its most recent Game Changer campaign. The Augusta Levy Learning Center, a pioneering nonprofit dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment to children with autism, and the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley, which provides support to community programs that include food assistance, utility support, health services and youth initiatives, were each presented with a donation from the campaign, which enables casino patrons to donate the remaining change on slot vouchers.
