

The Catawba Nation on July 1 celebrated the recent opening of the first phase of its $1.25 billion Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort near Charlotte with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Delaware North serves as the consultant on gaming and hospitality to the Catawba, as well as the developer of the casino project.
The ceremony featured remarks from Delaware North CEO Lou Jacobs (pictured above at left), Catawba Nation Chief Brian Harris, other Catawba leaders and representatives of companies contributing to the casino development, as well as traditional Catawba songs, prayers and smudging ritual. Sportservice at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. – rebranded as NYNJ Stadium for the World Cup tournament – is serving up a bold, globally inspired menu to fans across eight matches at the venue. This included a Round of 32 matchup on June 30 between France and Sweden, where France secured a 3-0 victory.

Delaware North U.K. at Wembley Stadium in London was recently recognized at the annual Conference & Events Awards, presented by the Global Conference Network, which provides information and events for the global conference industry. Delaware North’s Meetings & Events (M&E) team at Wembley Stadium, where the company has served as the hospitality provider since 2007, earned a bronze award in the Best Conference & Event Venue (more than 1,200 seats) category.
